What kind of Eb Alto Clarinet mouthpiece should a beginner (me) use?
The brand of clarinet that I have is either one or a Selmer Bundy (or both) clarinet. I'm not sure. I have no experience playing the alto clarinet in Eb, but I played clarinet before. Besides, what is a good learning material for Beginners?
First, Bundy is a line of Selmer Student Model, and if you're starting I would say that is probably what you are using. There is a problem with the spokespersons highest clarinet (or student Nozzle Pro model), and that are designed to make the registration in beautiful and vibrant, but have a tendency to sacrifice the higher octaves … become pitch and tone becomes weak. Clarinet is suitable for classical music, jazz and blues. One of the hardest things for the beginning clarinetist is getting the proper embouchure. They need have special music sheets containing notes of the clarinet.
It is straight in shape and resembles a clarinet, though curved models, resembling miniature alto saxophone, also available. Today, the clarinet Sheet Music is played in various styles of music – that is, classical, jazz and gospel.
