A year ago, silver was in the midst of a severe correction in prices, precipitated by the global credit crisis and the race to mass liquidation of contracts Commodity futures – at any price – that occurred. Silver fell from about $ 21.00 all the way to the sub-$ 9.00 range, which many investors commodities to doubt that the silver bull market there was any chance of ever attaining such high prices again. Well, those doubts, but all have been erased, and technical vehicles represented in the chart below should be sufficient to convince all but the most hardened skeptics Plate is alive and well and quite possibly trapped in what could be its most powerful bull market to date.
SLV Silver ETF Trading Analysis

One of the first duties of any competent technical analyst to determine the current trend of a given stock or commodity, and one of the most effective ways to achieve this is to look at the relationship of prices to a variety of key moving averages. In the chart above, pay special attention to the red and blue curved lines, which denote the 50 and 200 day exponential moving averages (EMA) to SLV, the exchange traded fund closely tracks the price of Silver cash. On the left side of the chart, a witness in the green oval, the location an optimist "EMA" Golden Cross "of the 50 on the 200-day period EMA. For technical analysts and traders, the probability This usually involves that significantly higher prices to come. There is a "fail safe" technical indicator, but a good job of forecasting the future trend prices in many different markets. Currently, SLV is forcing with a period of sustained follow-through, despite having suffered a sharp sell-off following the recent Golden Cross 50/200.
As important as the Golden Cross is equally important that the moving averages to confirm the trend moves, starting by an upward slope in this case, both 50-day EMA and 200-day EMA are both further accelerate when the difference between them is increasing. Pro traders we also know that both the 50 and 200 days EMA often acts as a strong support of setbacks (especially when such EMA are flat or tilted up), often providing relatively safe "to return to points of entry" for experienced operators and investors. View ovals of different colors for a few examples of this phenomenon.
Technicians also have no reliable way to determine if it is really a strong tendency SSS, plotted on the bottom of the table is the Aroon (14) indicator of the strength of the trend. Similar in concept to the higher average use of direction indicators (ADX), this indicator is to measure the power behind any given trend movement. In the graph above, we see that every time the blue Aroon (14) crossed the line red line that a significant trend movement took place in the SSS. While no one can be sure how this particular movement will go, if (14 Aroon past) crosses are an indication, SLV can still have some room to rise. SLV weekly chart has been moved in a similarly bullish Aroon (14) posture, which may be another indication that SLV (silver and cash), but may be destined to meet and possibly exceed the maximum achieved significant March 2008.
The market Silver also has some of the key factors in its favor surprising that are unique among all commodities traded freely, and these factors also Silver bode favorably for substantially higher prices in the months and years ahead:
• A long-term supply imbalance between the demand for critical industrial metal.
• The shortest worlds' in future contracts on any of major commodities.
• Possible problems of payment for 'leased' Silver and unsupported 'Silver Certificates. "
There is much, much more to the story of Silver, but traders and savvy investors are beginning to realize – from early 2003 until early 2008, silver prices increased by a factor of almost five times, and long-term fundamentals also seems to imply that the increases are even more rampant on the horizon right. As the transition to a new decade, Make sure you seek wise guidance in the silver market, as it could get very, very attractive market in which to deploy a portion of its trade and investment funds.
