Artley Flute is my silver or Nickel Plated?
I have a vintage Artley flute that my parents bought second hand back to 1983, the model / number series is 583,169. I think the year of manufacture is 1979. My parents were understanding when they bought the flute that was silver. Can anyone confirm this for the serial number above? It is engraved "U.S. Artley 15-0. Thanks in advance for any replies:) Thanks, Yulia, for your reply, Mamianka! Could you tell me the name of the website Artley? I tried a Google search but could not find it, and artley.com not appear to lead to anything either. Thanks! Thanks for your reply RuthieGirl!
Hello. Unfortunately, Artley has always sold and has gone out of business … so you will not find a website to research their questions, but the model of your flute – "15-0" means to be a beginner model, Closed Hole, C-Foot Flute. I had one back in my day. The serial number is not would have no basis on which silver is plated or Solid Silver, but no model number. I was one of the models of students as yours is and I really wanted the flute. I still have … but unfortunately it is sitting in the case of parts. Hope I was able to help. Thanks for reading. teacher in Texas
